PRE

Research suggests that most women benefit greatly from exercising throughout pregnancy. At times you may wonder if this strange body actually belongs to you but exercise will boost energy levels and create a sense of control.

POST

Post pregnancy training has many mental and physical benefits for a new mother. It is recognised that after the birth of a child a mother can suffer from loss of confidence and self esteem but with regular structured exercise our trainers will help to re-establish a sense of worth and independence creating the perfect balance. Our post pregnancy training will help you regain your pre pregnancy figure, feel fitter, sleep better and get you back into those jeans quicker!

Recommended guidelines suggest that it is a good idea to wait until after your six-week postnatal check before you start to exercise regularly again. If you exercised regularly before giving birth and you feel fit and well, you might be able to start earlier. If you had a caesarean delivery, your recovery time will be longer (usually twelve weeks).

After pregnancy your lower back and core abdominal muscles are weaker than they used to be. Your ligaments and joints are also more supple and pliable, so it's easier to injure yourself by stretching or twisting too much. Our personal trainers have the expertise and experience to ensure that all training is performed at the correct level of intensity.

With the popularity of ski holidays on an upward curve as people search for more active getaways JD Personal Training has witnessed an increasing demand from clients looking to improve ski related fitness.

Skiing is an athletic sport at any level which subjects your body to repeated stresses and continual physical exertion. Add this to the fact that it is performed at high altitude and it becomes inevitable that without sufficient pre-holiday training it can be difficult to maximise enjoyment and lower your risk of injury.
